Which Sunshine Coast suburbs does Deadlock cover?
Thom covers the Sunshine Coast from Golden Beach and Caloundra in the south to Mount Coolum and Point Arkwright in the north, and inland through Buderim and Sippy Downs toward Nambour and Yandina. Noosa Shire, from Peregian Beach and Sunshine Beach up to Noosa Heads and Tewantin, isn't covered.
Coastal suburbs: salt air and sand
From Maroochydore and Mooloolaba up to Marcoola, Mount Coolum and Point Arkwright, many homes sit close to the beach or the Maroochy River. Salt air settles on springs, cables and fixings, and sand works into door tracks. Beachfront doors wear faster, so they're worth keeping on a yearly service.
Kawana: canals, beaches and new estates
Minyama and Parrearra back onto canals, and Buddina, Warana and Wurtulla sit along the Kawana beachfront, so salt is part of daily life there. Birtinya is one of the Coast's newest suburbs, and most garages there have modern sectional doors and openers.

Yes, two simple checks. With the door closed, pull the release cord, lift the door halfway and carefully let go. If it drops or rises on its own, the springs need attention. Then lay a roll of paper towel under the door and close it with the remote. If it doesn't reverse on contact, stop using the opener. Leave the springs alone.
